This is a cut-down version of our 30 minute documentary, screened on the Guardian, made in 2015, looking at fracking for shale gas in Pennsylvania in the USA.

This controversial method of extracting gas from hard shale formations has, campaigners argue, damaged lives, livelihoods & property across the USA. Fracking’s supporters point to energy independence, but the process is costly and in 2015, this saw many fracking operators going bust.
